We’re very selective of who we hire, and for good reason, our security guards are the face of our company and often times of our clients’ as well.
We never hire “on the spot” like many competitors do, instead we schedule multiple in-person interviews and invest the time in every candidate to be sure they’re perfectly suited for each security guard position.
Many of our security guards are college graduates with an overwhelming majority with degrees from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In addition, we’re committed to hiring veterans and those with law enforcement experience.
We believe it’s crucial for every security guard to be confident in their working environment and pleased with their job, our hiring process identifies these key characteristics.
We know who we’re hiring, all security guards have passed state background checks against FBI records. We then run our own background checks to verify further.
We go well beyond the state mandated training for security guards which serves as a foundation. We build on that with additional levels of training such as active shooter and workplace violence preparedness, CPR/First Aid & AED, customer service training, and client specific certifications. For example, in NYC our security guards obtain Fireguard Certificates of Fitness or other certifications through the FDNY.
We then take our client specific training a step further and bring the training on site, this ensures a security guards background training and experience is applied properly and effectively to the nuances of their environment and is in adherence to all standard operating procedure and client sensitivities.

TECHNOLOGY IN SECURITY MATTERS
We utilize a proprietary guard management application and web interface to create better workflows and transference of information. Our security guards are empowered by this technology enabling them to report on and intervene in all anomalous activity, share that information in real time, generate reports, and provide key data and insights to security management and our client contacts. These analytics enable us to better train and prepare our security guards for instances of high risk which closes our clients vulnerabilities.
Additional uses for our guard management application and software include lone worker protection. Not every security site will have backup nearby to assist a solo security guard at a moments notice. The technology our system offers allows for automated duress signals to be sent to CSR management if certain conditions are met or if expected activity does not occur. We take our lone worker protection very seriously and through the use of this system potential hazards such as a slip and fall can be detected and reported so that a solo security post can have the backup they need, enabled through technology.
