Corporate Security Resources COVID-19 Action Plan – Keeping our employees and partners safe
As the situation around the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, our paramount concern has been for the health and safety of our security personnel and our clients’ employees.
Corporate Security Resources (CSR) is an essential business providing security guard services, and we are committed to keeping operations running uninterrupted just as we always do during times of crisis and natural disaster. Businesses depend on us for the protection of their assets including their facilities, equipment, data, but most importantly for the security and safety of their people.
We have made several changes to our business and operations as we all adjust to the new normal and will continue to monitor for best practices as the situation develops.
Safety Measures:
We have enhanced and added several measures to ensure the safety of our security guards and the employees of the businesses those Security Guards protect. Those measures include but are not limited to:
- Promoting social and physical distancing practices in client locations and minimizing all non-essential interaction between guard teams during shifts and at changes of shifts.
- Providing surgical masks to all security guards.
- Ensuring all of our security guards have disposable gloves as they need which are readily available at our client locations.
- Encouraging all security guards to self-monitor their temperatures before every shift of work, and to immediately report any concerns so that back-up plans and staff can be deployed quickly.
- Implementing sanitization procedures for all of our security posts, security equipment, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Utilizing remote capabilities for increased supervision while minimizing non-essential person-to-person contact. For example, we’ve provided supervisors with remote access to camera systems which enable a constant review of performance in addition to leveraging security management apps to provide detailed feedback.
- Communicating repeatedly with our security teams and personnel about the constant need to be vigilant about following the CDC Guidelines for hygiene and social distancing as well as the emergency measures we have put into place until further notice.
Expanded Benefits for Security Guards:
We have expanded several benefits to address the needs of our Security Guards to help alleviate some of the challenges they may face as a result of COVID-19. To date, Corporate Security Resources has and will continue to:
- Provide paid time off for any security guard who may contract COVID-19.
- Provide paid time off for any security guard required who may be quarantined by a public health authority or the CDC.
- Provide additional paid time off beyond the prior two provisions for any security guard CSR feels may be at increased risk due to COVID-19 or could present even the slightest risk to others.
Supporting Businesses and the Community:
Corporate Security Resources is offering complimentary remote security consulting services to businesses that have been impacted by COVID-19 and are now facing new security or safety challenges.
CSR will continue to engage with our clients to help guide their procedures and best practices for re-opening safely while exploring the new roles security will play to establish a safe and healthy business environment during this time of crisis.
